N.B. There are two men named "John Davis" on this sailing of the 'David Lyon' 1830. John Davis was convicted at Middlesex, London (10 Sept 1829)for stealing a horse saddle and harness. Known to Police. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the ship 'David Lyon' arriving Aug 1830. Native place: Whitechapel, London. Aged 21yrs; single man. Died at H.M. Colonial Hospital, Launceston 10 Aug 1833.
