James Fero or James de Witt was convicted in the Province of Upper Canada 7 Jan 1839 for piratical invasion of Upper Canada. Life Sentence. Transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) on the ship ‘Buffalo’ arriving 12 Feb 1840.

Single man.
Assignments in Colony.
1844 - at Oatlands.

Free Pardon 3 Dec 1844.
