One woman and 7 children died on the voyage. At least 2 children were born during the voyage. The Surgeon Superintendent was Dr Wylie, R.N. and the Matron, Mrs Evans. The Arabian arrived at Hobart Town, February 25 1847.

Margaret Delany, age 24, House maid, tried Louth, 25 Feb 1846, 10 years. Native place, Queens Co. Single, catholic, can neither read nor write. Relations: Mother, Peggy. Brothers, Michael, John, James; Sisters Mary, Catherine, at N,P, Offence: Stealing a silver watch, pr. Owen Lamb (?) Co. Louth; for money, 3 months, once tried and acquitted for same. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Margaret Delany was found guilty of stealing a watch from Owen Lamb, and was sentenced to ten years' transportation in consequence of being an old offender, . Freeman’s Journal, 28 Feb 1846. Margaret Delany for stealing a silver watch, at Dundalk, on 10th Feb. last, the property of Owen Lamb. Owen Lamb proved that he knew the prisoner; saw her at Dundalk on the Castletown road; had his watch as he was going home, when met prisoner, she taking his arm, he fell asleep, before he awoke she fled, with his watch.
