William Desmond was yesterday convicted before the Recorder for stealing a cask of rum, containing about six gallons, off a car in the New-street. The properly belonged Mr. Pedell, of Bantrv, and the robbery was committed about eight o'clock on the evening of Monday. He was found guilty, and being an old offender, was sentenced to transportation for seven years. Cork Constitution, 9 Nov 1833.
