Margaret GRAY (proper name DICK) was convicted at Antrim in Jan 1849 for assault and stealing money. 10 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Earl Grey' arriving 1850. Aged 25yrs; laundress; 5'8"; fair complexion; light brown/sandy hair; blue eyes; Protestant; can read & write. Native Place: Co. Antrim. Mother: Sarah Sisters: Isabella & Jane Brothers: Samuel (at sea) & Daniel Private work services and time at the Female Factory, Hobart (Cascades). 1852: Married John Foley (ref. Conduct record) 31 Jan 1854: Ticket of Leave granted. 14 Aug 1855: Conditional Pardon approved
