On 18 Dec 1840 at Launceston, Tasmania, he married Mary Jane White (born Hobart 1824) and they moved to Avoca, Victoria, where they had 13 children. Aaron died there on 30 May 1873. Mary Jane died there on 18 Mar 1883.
