Michael Dowd was 24 years old on arrival in NSW.  He was Married and his native place was Roscommon.

Michael had numerous colonial sentences.

1/6/1836: Patrick Plains, Apprehended after absconding from J. Pringle.
1837: Assigned to the Government, Newcastle.
1837: Assigned to J. Pringle.
16/1/1838: Temporarily assigned to Rev. Wilton.  Charged with pilfering. Discharged.

17/3/1845: Tried at Maitland Circuit Court for stealing 4 £1 notes from Edward Wright.
Found guilty - to be transported for 7 years.

28/5/1845: Arrived VDL per “Louisa”.
Sent to Port Arthur for 3 years.

Michael was then 35 years old, 5’6 1/4” tall, single,(he was married at the time he was transported) could not read or write, ruddy complexion, brown hair, grey eyes.

21/4/1848: Application for TOL refused.
27/11/1849: TOL
16/9/1851: TOL revoked for being absent from muster.

No date of death found.
