John Downs,  age 24, G.S., Ct. Harcourt, 1822, 7 years, Stockman, catholic, to John Tindale, of Bathurst. John was resident at Pilory.
Pilory Farm, which was 95 miles N.W. of Bathurst,  was a farm of 2000 acres, 30 of which were cleared, 12 cultivated, with stock of 5 horses, 700 cattle and 1600 sheep. John Tindale had 3 large farms in the area.
