Retribution Hulk Records. HO-9-7 1 Sheerness Hulks Received from Lancaster, 8 May 1819. William Entwistle, age 26, Having forged notes in his possession, Tried at Lancaster 20 Mar 1819. 14 years. Transported 3 June 1819.




William Entwistle was 38 years old on arrival and was transported for ‘having forged bank notes’. William was 5’4” tall, dark ruddy complexion, dark brown hair, hazel eyes. 1820 Muster: Under Government Employ. 1825 Muster: Employed by G. Blaxland, Parramatta. 30/9/1831: Permission to marry Mary Campbell (Asia 1830). 26/9/1831: Married Mary at Scotts Church, Parramatta. They had 4 children. 24/7/1839: Mary died at Parramatta. About this time his occupation was a ‘Dealer’. 1840: William married Frances Day – she died in 1851, NSW. They had 5 children. William was a grocer at the time of his death. 29/7/1864: William died at O’Connell Street, Parramatta, of paralysis. He was buried at St Johns Cemetery, Parramatta, NSW
