Thomas EVANS, transported per the ‘Barossa’ to Van Diemen’s Land 1841, died in H.M. Colonial Hospital, Hobart. Buried 4 Feb 1841. Aged 27yrs. (ref. NAME_INDEXES:1182235 34/1/2 no. 936)

Thomas EVANS convicted at Stafford 24 March 1841 for horse stealing. 10yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ‘Barossa’. Note on Convict Record that he had been sick on the voyage and sent strait to hospital. The ship arrived 13 Jan 1842. Thomas died 4 Feb 1842.
