Thomas Evans was convicted at Middlesex, London on 13 Sept 1820 for picking pockets. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land per the 'Phoenix' arriving 1822. Aged 17; milkboy; native place - London Mother at Bedfordbury - a milkwoman. VDL: some misconduct but on a Ticket of Leave by 1830.
