After getting his ticket of leave he applied to have his wife, Mary(nee Logan), and daughter Margaret join him in Australia. They had remained behind in Meath, Ireland, during his incarceration in NSW. Margaret later married Daniel Thomas Bowman In Ragland, Victoria in 1855.

Daniel Farrell was 20 years old on arrival, his native place was Kildare. May 1823: 50 lashes for neglect of work and refusing to work at Glebe Farm. 22/5/1822: On lists of prisoners transported to Newcastle. 10/5/1825: COF 28/9/1826: COF renewed 7/9/1827: COF renewed 22/3/1832: COF renewed. 1831: Married Mary Logan (Forth 1830) She was 34 and he was 32. No children listed.
