Hannah died in Castlemaine under the name Hannah Tims. The death certificate contains sufficient evidence that Tims and Fenby were one and the same woman.

Hannah Fenby almost certainly died 18/1/1854 under the name Hannah Tims in Castlemaine, Victoria where she had lived for 16 years following her 7 years in Van Diemans Land. Her death certificate contains sufficient evidence to this. Her son George, with whom she was transported, (he was 9 at the time) died in 1893 in Corryong, Victoria Reasearch is still truing to ascertain where the surname "Tims" came from

Hannah Fenby was the mother of George Fenby. Together they stole 2 pairs of shoes from John Cooper, from his shop. George was 9 years old. Both were transported to VDL, on different ships. Hannah was 44, 5'2 1/2" tall, dark complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyebrows, dark grey eyes, medium large nose, medium wide mouth and a long chin. She could read, was a plain cook and could make butter and cheese. Apparently she had 4 children, Thomas 1812, Joseph 1813, John 1816, George 1818 and another Thomas in 1826 (perhaps the first one died?) 3/10/1834: Drunk when in charge of her Master's children - discharged with an admonition. COF 8/7/1836.
