Thomas Fennessy was convicted at Co. Tipperary, Ireland on 13 March 1846 for Manslaughter - Patrick Crotty was shot in the breast and only lived 4hrs after. Life sentence. Transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) on the ship ‘Lord Auckland’ 1846.
Married man; farm labourer; aged 27yrs; can read & write; Roman Catholic.
Brothers: James, Michael, Patrick, John
Sisters: Bridget & Mary
Letters sent to Colony re this man.
Station Gang: Southport.
Ticket of Leave 24 Oct 1854
