Thomas Fitkin was 24 years old when indicted for stealing 1 handkerchief, value 8s., the goods of George Pope.

16/3/1843: TOL Parramatta.

13/3/1847: Assaulted by Michael Maher.

There were quite a few assaults, both upon and made by the Fitkin’s in the 1840’s and 1850’s.  By this time he had married Elizabeth ??? and moved to Bathurst.

1895: Elizabeth Fitkin died aged 80 of heart disease at Bathurst Hospital.

8/4/1897: Died - Thomas Fitkin who had lived with his wife in upper Lambert Street, Bathurst, upward of half a centry died at the Benevolent Home.  His wife died 2 years ago and he could no longer take proper care of himself.

They had no children.
