Family connections for Thomas (Flagherty) are: FLAGHERTY Thomas (Flaherty/Flagherty) was tried at Wicklow Ireland, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 30 10 1802 after a voyage of 5months on ATLAS. He was Free by Servitude by 1816 & had a relationship with Jemima (Herbert). He was issued his Conditional Pardon on 31 1 1820. [Some details taken from this Website] Jemima (Herbert) was born in 1797(or 19 9 1799sic) & baptised on 27 3 1806 age6 on Norfolk Island. She was taken to Tasmania by her mother on 18 2 1813-apparantly to Port Dalrymple on MINSTREL; which arrived on 4 3 1813. Details of Jemima (Herbert)s family are given in entry for John (Herbert SCARBOROUGH 1788) on this Website. Thomas (Flaherty) & Jemima (Herbert) produced at least 2children: 1.Hannah (Flaherty) was born in 1816. She died on 6 7 1873 age about57. 2.Margaret (Flaherty) was born on 3 3 1819 & baptised on 11 1 1822 age2 at St Johns CofE Launceston. She died on 23 4 1898 age79.
