George Foster married Mary Archer on the 25 October 1830 Hobart Town, Tasmania, Australia. Mary died 30 October 1834. George became a whaler, ship end up in New Zealand, he then worked as a Moulder for the whalers. George married Janet Ramsay Gilbert (née Currie) a widow of five children, George and Jane had four sons only one lived a George Foster.




George was convicted for stealing goods (jacket and loaf bread) on 20 October 1819 given 7 years, he was 20 years of age, 5ft 4 1/4 ins, hair brown eyes blue. Tattoo on right arm F.C 362. 27 Oct 1826 . (FC .. Freed Certificate)
