Bartholomew Gale was convicted on the 11th March 1847 alongside William Read 27 years at Dorchester Assizes. William Read was transported to Fremantle, Western Australia in 1850 aboard the Hashemy. Prior to the robbery they both lived in Poorstock or Powerstock. The robbery occurred in Corscombe, Dorset.
