Jesse Gibson was 14 when charged with sodomy/buggery at Leicester Assizes on 25/3/1834. He was sent to the juvenile convict hulk Euryalus (indent no 2111) before being transported. The Quarterly returns describe him as healthy, well behaved and having respectable acquaintences. The crime is very unusual, even more so with a juvenile. The decription of his acquintences is an equally unusual comment.
