14/12/1855 Hull Packet East Riding of Yorkshire, England:
YORKSHIRE WINTER GAOL DELIVERY
Joseph Broadbent Glassell (35) was charged with a felonious assault upon his daughter, Elizabeth Harriet Glassell, 11 years of age, at West Ardsley on the 21st of June last.

Joseph was 37 years old on arrival, he was a widower with 3 children, 5’4” tall, dark brown hair, grey eyes, middling stout, semiliterate, scrofula on neck, cut left thumb.
