The Convict Indentures state that Daniel Gleeson was 26 years old. He could neither read or write; religion Catholic; status single and a native of Tipperary. He was a ploughman and reaps. He was convicted of house breaking in Tipperary on 7 April 1828 and sentenced to life. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes - Height 5 feet 8 inches; complexion ruddy; hair brown and eyes hazel. Transport number 29.
Assigned to Mr John Dickson, Sydney.
Received Ticket of Leave in 1837 (number (37/771) and Conditional Pardon in 1844 (number 44/153).

Sydney Gazette and NSW Advertiser dated Thursday 11 March 1830; Thursday 18 March 1830 and Tuesday 23 March state that Daniel Gleeson had absconded. Entry as follows: Gleeson Daniel, Governor Ready, 28, Ploughman, Tipperary, 5 feet 8 inches, hazel eyes, brown hair and ruddy complexion from No. 6 Iron Gang. Did not find any further entries but must have been recaptured.
Received ticket of leave on 23 February 1837 at Brisbane Waters, County of Northumberland, NSW. Ticket number 37/277.
Received Absolute Pardon on 1 May 1843. Reference The Australian dated Tuesday 18 June 1844.
