High Court of Justiciary Saturday, March 18. Thomas Blyth, slater, Alexander Gordon, chimney sweep, and Charles M'lnnes, shoemaker, (three boys) were convicted, on their own confession of stealing , on the 27 th of January last , a black vest , &c ; and Isabella Erskine, of resetting the same . The two first who were habit and repute thieves ,were sentenced to transportation  for seven years ; M'lnnes to six months imprisonment— ... The Scotsman, 22 March 1826. The National Archives.
