Absconder, when on pass from Torquay to Hobart, in December 1869. 1322 Edward Gore, per Royal Sovereign, tried at Hobart Town, 15th April 1844, life, labourer, aged 48, complexion pale, hair red, eyes light hazel, native place Manchester, seven dots back of left arm. Tasmania Police Gazette, 16th June 1871, p98. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaols & Houses of Correction, Hobart & Launceston, during the week ending 222 & 26 June 1872. Edward Gore, per Royal Sovereign, tried at Oatlands, on 28 Dec 1871 for On premises for an unlawful purpose, served 6 months, native of Manchester, 46 yrs old, 5 feet 8 1/2 inches high, brown hair, F.S., residue sentence remitted. Tasmania Police Gazette, 28th June 1872, p108.
