He arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 11 1834 on BLENHEIM & moved to Bathurst about 1835. In 1837 he was assigned to Major (Murphy) at Bathurst. He was issued his Ticket of Leave on 1 2 1839 & Certificate of Freedom on 17 2 1843. He became a farmer at Bathurst & married Eleanor/Ellen (Phillips) on 13 2 1848 at RC Kelso. In 1875 he was one of 52 residents who signed petitition requesting establishment of a Post Office at Burraga. He died on 5 1 1885 age about75 at Truscotts Flat.
