David Golding, per Forfarshire, F.S., tried at George Town, for larceny, received 1 month, native place is Liverpool, age 50 yrs, a boatman, 5 feet 3 inches high, resides at Launceston & River Tamar. Tasmania Police Gazette, 26th Jan 1872, p15. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaols and House of Correction, Hobart & Launceston, week ending 21 & 17 Feb 1872. At George Town, David Golding, per Forfarshire, tried at George Town, on 19 Jan 1872 for larceny, sentenced to 1 month, native of Liverpool, 50yrs, 5 feet 3 inches, brown hair, F.S., a boatman, scar on forehead.
