4/1/1840 Warwick and Warwickshire Advertiser Warwickshire, England:
John Green and Moses Palmer were caged with having stolen, at Sutton Coldfield, 52 five pound bank of England notes, and 5 ten pound bank notes, the property of John Gerrard. The prosecutor, a farmer living near Worcester, stated, that he was at Rugeley fair on the 21st of October last.  On coming back, when he got to Lichfield, he went to a public-house to enquire for a return chaise to take him to Birmingham.  The prisoners were there, and said there was a light cart at the door, and he might go with them…... they later robbed him.

Moses Palmer arrived VDL per Lord Lyndoch 1840.

John Green was 40 years old on arrival : Native Place: Warwickshire.

John was literate, protestant, Married - no children listed, 5’7” tall, ruddy complexion, brown hair and eyes, lower front teeth irregular, mole on left side of cin another on right cheek, another under left jaw, mole on right side of neck, scar inside lower left arm.
