James Gregory was 5'3" tall, blue eyes, brown hair, pale freckled complexion. Colonial Secretary Index: GREGORY, James. Per "Hooghley", 1825 1825: On list of convicts in the employ of John Atkinson (Fiche 3118; 4/1840B No.16 p.107) 1825 Jun 18: Assigned to John Atkinson; listed as John (Fiche 3118; 4/1840B No.16 pp.103-10) 1825 Aug 1: Convict servant of John Atkinson. To be victualled from the Stores for six months (Reel 6015; 4/3515 p.89) 7/7/1831: COF - Born 1809, 5'4ΒΌ" tall, fair ruddy complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, perpendicular scar on centre of forehead, nose crooked. 7/5/1832 Sydney Herald: James Gregory was indicted for stealing one watch, two seals, and one key, the property of Peter M'lntyre, Esq., at Sydney, on the I9th of March. The prisoner pleaded Guilty, and persisted in his plea, although cautioned by the learned Judge that it would avail him nothing. To be transported for 7 years. 9/5/1839: COF - cancelled - see CF 39/783 18/11/1839: Tried Sydney SC - Street Robbery - 15 years Norfolk Island. 20/7/1846: Received a pass?? - written on his COF
