William Griffin, aged 31, was transported for Life to NSW on “Brampton” after being found guilty at the County Cork Summer Assizes in August 1822 of administering unlawful oaths (under the Whiteboy Act). He was a ploughman, 5ft 7inches tall and a native of County Cork.
