John Groves married Ellen Sheehan in 1832 at Parramatta. His daughter Elizabeth (Eliza) was born in 1842. John Groves died in Parramatta in 1861. He is buried in St Patrick’s cemetary.

Marriage Certificate V1832/1832. His surname is incorrectly registered as ‘GOOMS’ should be ‘GROVES".
