There are a number of Henry Halpins born at a similar time to this one in Ireland. The Henry Halpin from Limerick who later died in Beaufort, Australia in 1885, married to Amelia Sparling would have still been a convict in Australia when his first three children were born in Ireland....if this is the correct record for him, (Of course, these may not have been his children although he is named on their baptism records). The convict named here is a native of Dublin so I do not believe that it is the same Henry Halpin (who would have had to return to Ireland, father children who were not his) later coming back to Australia with his sons (who were all born in Limerick, Ireland).
