Bernard Hargiton/Hurgiton/Hardigan was convicted at Perth, Scotland on 20/04/1848 for stealing 20/- from the person. 7yr sentence. Transported on the 'Eliza' to Norfolk Island, arriving 03/04/1850. Ship surgeon's report: very good. Single man; Roman Catholic; 5'5"; aged 25yrs; weaver; native place - Belfast. 12mths Probation - at Norfolk Island. Died in hospital, Norfolk Island 12/10/1850.
