John Harris was about 20 years old when indicted with his brother, George (on the same voyage) and 6 other men when the tried to free Samuel Jones and Wlilliam Dunn who were sentenced to be hanged for burglary. The crime was listed as "Perverting Justice". 1830-33: Public Works 1835: TOL 22/6/1838: CP 18/11/1841: Free Pardon. Aug.1829: Permissto to marry Mary Welsh (Sir Castle Forbes) no marriage registered. 1832: I think they may not have married, but he had a daughter, Isabella, with Kezia Allen. Kezia married Thomas King, 11/1/1835 at George Town, Tas. Then in 1848 she married John Price in Port Fairy, Victoria. Kezia died 20/7/1879, aged 7s in Warrnambool, Victoria. Isabella married Joseph Thomas (Lord Petre) and had 10 children. 7/7/1835: John married Elizabeth Taylor (free). Elizabeth was born 1798 and died 22/5/1858 aged 60 in Launceston, Tasmania. 5/7/1876: John died in Sydney.
