Prisoner discharged from Gaol, Hobart or Launceston on the week ending 16 & 20 March 1872. From New Norfolk, William Harris, per Blenheim 3, F.S., tried at S.C. Hobart on 1 July 1867, for housebreaking, served 5 years, also tried at Port Arthur on 2 Feb 1871 for misconduct, served 12 months, native of Nottingham, 44 yrs, 5 feet 8 inches high, light brown or sandy hair, scar right side of chin, ring & 5 dots on each middle finger ; unexpired period remitted. Tasmania Police Gazette, 22nd Mar 1872, p51.
