Robert Hatchman was 33 years old when indicted for Housebreaking-he stole 3 watches, value £18, the property of Samuel Marsden.

Robert was married with 2 infant children.  He was sentenced to death, recommended to Mercy by the Jury.

One of Robert’s children was Robert Howard Hatchman, born 1821.  He married and Annie, and they came to Australia and lived in Queensland.

16/6/1824: Sarah Hatchman - On list of persons receiving an assigned convict.

27/3/1827: Apprehended entering, through a wall into a house in Pitt St., - 10 days on the Treadmill.

7/11/1828: Absconded from the No. 14 Road Gang.
Robert was described as: 5’3 1/4” tall, light blue eyes, black hair, swarthy complexion.

7/3/1829: Absconded from No. 3 Iron Gang. 3rd time of running.

1835: TOL: Queanbeyan.

Robert was assigned to Robert Campbell at Queanbeyan as a Watchman.

21/3/1843: TOL Passport - Queanbeyan.

NSW BDM - Sarah Hatchman died 1834 aged 35 years.

No date of death for Robert.

Incorrect info by D. Wong, Robert Hatchman’s son Robert did not marry a Annie & move to Qld, no record of this Robert after his mothers death. Robert & Annie are the parents of a Henry Hatchman.
