John Hawke was convicted at Sussex 02/01/1834 for stealing a watch. Previous convictions. Life sentence. Transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) on the ‘Arab’ arriving 30/06/1834.

Gaol Report: character very bad
Hulk Report: orderly
Ship Surgeon’s Report: very good, industrious scholar

Single man.

No notes on record of Conduct.
Died in the hospital, Hobart, Tasmania.
