John Heaton was 19 years old on arrival : Native Place: Leeds. John was literate, protestant, single, 5'5¼" tall, fair ruddy and a little pockpitted complexion, light brown hair, light grey eyes, mole on lower part of right temple, scar back of right cheek, mole on left side of throat, another on left side of neck, and on on back of same, four small moles on lower right arm, scar back of left thumb. 1846: TOL Bathurst.
