Was this a previous conviction?? CITY SESSIONS (before the Recorder.) Thomas Hogan and John Driscoll were indicted for stealing a cloth cap, the property of Richard Walsh. The prisoners were boys of ten or twelve years old, and the cap stolen was taken off the head of a little son of prosecutor's who had been sent out to walk in charge of a maid servant on Sunday evening. Guilty —To be imprisoned a fortnight, kept to the tread-mill, and twice privately flogged. Cork Constitution, 24 Dec 1831.
