National Records of Scotland Title Precognition against David Horn for the crime of theft by housebreaking, habit and repute, and previous conviction Dates 1839 Accused David Horn, weaver, Address: High Street, Kirkintulloch, Dumbarton. Verdict: Guilty, Verdict Comments: Guilty in terms of own confession, Sentence: Transportation - 10 years. Note: Pannel cannot write. David Horn was 15 years old on arrival. Native Place: Dumbartonshire. David was literate, protestant, single, 5'2" tall, dark sallow complexion, Brown hair and eyes, small scar on upper part of nose, scar back of forefinger of left hand. David Horn is not listed on the NSW Gov. Convict Records site. The only mention of a David Horn/Horne in the newspapers on 'Trove' was in Victoria, first at Woodend, a farmer who went insolvent, and then as a train driver in Melbourne. Notes: The David Horn that died in 1867 in NSW was 23 and died of consumption.
