A discovery we understand has been made, the effect of which will be to let loose again on society two noted thieves, who were tried and convicted in the High Court of Justiciary on Thursday week, namely, Hugh Hosey and Alexander Mackay, the former of whom was sentenced to 14 years transportation for theft, and the latter to be executed for housebreaking. We are credibly informed that neither of these sentences can be carried into effect, in consequence of its having been discovered that one of the jurors, who sat on both trials, is under the age of 21.
