Henry Hughes was convicted of larceny, stealing a sovereign, on 27/11/1843. 10yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'London', arriving 1844. Gaol Report: 1st conviction Ship Surgeon's Report: Good Single man; Protestant; read & write; trade - French Polisher; 5'3"; aged 23; fresh complexion; black hair; grey eyes. Native Place: Liverpool Station Gang: Southport, Tasmania. Emerged 10/10/1845. Recommended for Conditional Pardon 16/12/1851. Died Hobart 08/02/1853.




Henrys trade was a French Polisher. He died at Hobart February 1853.
