Per "Brampton", 1823 c.1824 Petition to have his family sent out at Government expense (Fiche 3286; 4/1112.1A p.163) ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1824. Petition to have his family sent out at Government expense (Fiche 3286; 4/1112.1A p.163) That Memorialist left in Ireland a wife, (whose name is Mary Hurley alias Fitzgerald and residence the town of Tralee, Co of Kerry) and four children in a helpless condition, whom he could support in this Colony. Therefore prays you will take his case into your kind consideration and obtain for his family a free passage to this Territory. For truth of the above statement Memorialist begs leave to refer to the Revd. Cornelius Eagan, parish Clergyman, Tralee, Co. of Kerry, and John Hurley Esq. Clerk of the Peace for the same county. The statement of memorialist is in my opinion correct, John Joseph Therry. R.C.C.
