He was convicted at the Michaelmas Quarter Sessions at Bury-St-Edmunds, Suffolk on 25th October 1831 and sentenced to 14 years transportation. He sailed on the Lady Harewood (2) which arrived at Sydney cove on 15th August 1832. He was issued with a Ticket of Leave on 18th December 1842 and allowed to stay in the district of Scone on recommendation of the Scone Bench.
