25/7/1828 Cambridge Chronicle and Journal Cambridgeshire, England:
BEDFORD ASSIZES
Thomas Cobb, aged 18, and Samuel Jepps, aged 19, were indicted for having, on the 13th day of April last, feloniously assaulted one James Bass, on the King’s highway.

Thomas Cobb was also on board.

Samuel was listed as 21 years old on arrival in VDL.  His native place was Shillington.
He was 5’7” tall, brown hair and eyes, several moles on right arm, scar on right cheek, single.

Mother: Sarah Jepps at Shillington, a widow - ” I was last working for Captain Laton.

1830-32 Muster: Assigned to mr. E. Bryant
1833 Muster: Assigned to y. Hy. Nicholl
1835 Muster: Public Works

May 1837: TOL
18/4/1842: CP

No marriage listed.

12/3/1887: Samuel Jepps aged 78 years, a Laborer, died of Senilis at the New Town Pauper Establishment and was buried at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery, as a pauper.
