Sandwich Sessions. The Sessions being continued adjournment to Friday.  Thomas Johnson, was indicted for burglary and robbing in the house of Mrs. Ashman, of the Two Brewers, in Sandwich. He confessed the robbery but as the evidence did not sufficiently establish the burglary, he was found guilty of the minor offence  and sentenced to seven years' transportation. Kentish Gazette, 2 Sep 1834.

Police Department, Hobart, September 2. THE under-mentioned individuals have been appointed constables for the Island of Van Diemen's Land and its Dependencies, under the authority of the Act in Council, 2nd Victoria, No. 22 : Thomas Johnson, Aurora, from the 13th ult; Hobart Town Courier, 6 Sep 1839.
