Neil Johnston, charged with stealing a silver watch from a house in Cowcaddens, and with being habit and repute a thief; pleaded Not Guilty.-The witnesses having been examined, the charge was found proven. The libel was restricted, and Johnston was sentenced to 14 years transportation. Glasgow Herald, 28 April 1826.
