Ellen Jones was convicted for stealing wearing apparel, at Salop on 23 April 1830. One previous offence. 7yr sentence. Ellen was transferred to the ship ‘America’ and went to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) NOT sailing on the ‘Earl of Liverpool’ to NSW.
Single; aged 41yrs; 4’10 1/4”.
Native place: Carnarvon
1834: misconduct in being out after hours, with rum in her possession. Returned to Female Factory, Cascades, Hobart.
