1831: On arrival in VDL, she was 21, single and a housemaid. Her native place was Swansea, Glamorgan (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON19-1-12$init=CON19-1-12p44). 1833, 20 September: “Absent without leave and returned to the Factory for assignment in the interior” (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON40-1-5$init=CON40-1-5p199). 1835, 12 October: George Cupit, per Katherine Stewart Forbes (1832), and Martha Jones, per America (1831), received permission to marry (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON52-1-1p015j2k). However, there is no record of their marriage in VDL. 1837, 11 September: Her name is on a list of prisoners who have been granted a Ticket of Leave (see The Hobart Town Courier, 15 September 1837, p2). After 11 September 1837?: An undated entry on her Conduct Record says “Dead”. It's also possible that she died before the notification of her ToL was published.
