23/3/1824: Administerine unlawful oaths - Life. Trade: Cooper 18/12/1827: Convicted at the General Sessions at Liverpool for Stealing staves and hoops from the Commissary - 1 year. Sent to Moreton Bay - Described as 26 years old, 5'5¾" tall, fair complexion, dark brown hair, hazel eyes. 4/2/1829: Returned to Sydney. 25/7/1831: Phoenix Hulk - Sentenced to 3 years transportation - listed as sent to Moreton Bay 30/7/1831. No record of a second term at Moreton Bay. 25/7/1831 Sydney Herald: Colonial Secretary's Office, Sydney, July 15, 1831. From Mayo convicted at Cuttlebar possibly convicted of uttering unlawfull notes. 5' 6" sallow complexion brown hair and blue eyes. much pock pitted. very well behaved assigned to Gibbons. New South Wales, Australia, Gaol Description and Entrance Books, 1818-1930 for James Keane. 24/12/1827 found guilty of Robbery by the Liverpool bench and sentenced to 4 years at a penal settlement. Initially placed on the hulk New South Wales, Australia, Gaol Description and Entrance Books, 1818-1930 for James Kaine Entrance Book Sydney 1825-1832. 27/10/1830 convicted of running away from no 2 chain gang given 50 lashes and returned New South Wales, Australia, Gaol Description and Entrance Books, 1818-1930 for James Cain Description Book Parramatta 1835-1836 Also possibly in trouble again in 1836 but as James Cain and is a catholic 15/2/1836 1828 New South Wales, Australia Census (TNA Copy) for James Keane New South Wales General muster 1828 Located at Moreton Bay
