The Printed Convict Indentures state that David Kelly was aged 23 years old; could read and write; Religion Roman Catholic: Status Single; Native place County Mayo.  He was convicted of an unlawful oath at Mayo on 23 July 1833 and sentenced to 14 years.  Had no prior convictions Occupation Ordinance road surveyor.  Physical attributes were Height 5 feet 8 inches; complexion ruddy; Hair brown and hazel eyes.  Prisoner number 34-2381; Transport number: 150.
Died on 28 February 1845.  Buried in the Oaks Burial Ground now in Oaks Estate, ACT.  Lived in Queanbeyan at least from 1841.  Assigned to Mr Buckley as a shepherd; in 1843 assigned to Mr John Cosgrove, Maneroo (now Monaro) and then Daniel Driscoll in 1844.
