Darby Keogh was convicted at Tipperary on 4 March 1843 for breaking into a dwelling and stealing money and other items. John Fogarty was also convicted for this offence and sentenced. 14 yr transportation - to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) on the ship ‘Constant’ arriving 26 Aug 1843.
Gaol Report: No other offences. Well conducted in prison.
Ship’s Report: Quiet and orderly.
Aged 30yrs; single; labourer.
Native place - Limerick
Probation - 36 months. Emerged from Gang 26 Aug 1846.
1847 Fingal: Neglect of duty as Watchman.
1848 Longford: misconduct by being in the township out of hours.
